I can recognize words on a list on familiar topics.

I can recognize familiar names, words, characters, and some phrases in everyday situations.

    Remember this is READING: you must be reading the words. So you can match the pictures to the list you're reading, but you're writing rather than reading if you made your own labels. Find something in the outside world with words/phrases you understand.
